    CH-148 Cyclone Progress

Not all S92s do what the Cyclone tail does...must make it even harder to categorize.

    CH-148 Cyclone Progress

It's 'that time of year' so my mind just automatically played this when I read hanging Christmas lights...

    "Unionizing" the CF (merged)

I just did an Acting position and my regular one for a month. If I was paid the difference in pay between the Acting and my position, the pay difference would easily cover the $40. what's the benefit to me to mess dues? I get a parting gift on posting/release...that's it.

    CH-148 Cyclone Progress

Yup - great this was caught. I hope the tech(s) who discovered this are properly recognized (I think it was techs).

    CH-148 Cyclone Progress

“In the tails” is pretty vague in terms of area. Normal? Hard to say. Operational; depends on what you categorize that as I guess. “Only two of Canada's 23 Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone helicopters are currently fit to fly. The rest of the multibillion-dollar fleet is in need of repair”... Yup...

    "Unionizing" the CF (merged)

I was recently Acting in a higher rank position. No extra pay or anything. I just got to continue doing my normal job AND the Acting one as well. It’s fun!!

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

I believe they are v.busy closing that capability gap…

What is a WAG amount monthly dues would equal? Just even a ballpark guess. 30 bucks?

    "Unionizing" the CF (merged)

For 2 years I filled 2 different positions at my Sqn; Crew Lead (part of Aircrew Flt) and AES Op Training O (part of Standards & Training Flt). Benefit to me? As you said, PER scoring. Sometimes I was at work for 0600 so I could “get some work done before work started” and leave at 1900. I...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

They’d probably pause and think of our submarines (old and under-weaponed), MPAs (old and under-weaponed), inability to really sustain our rather small navy at sea ourselves and say “really surprised they bought anything new!”. Then, they’d sit back and watch to see if the procurement went the...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

Most people aren’t privy to the status of fleets like the Aurora outside of what is released for public consumption. Current work has me visiting 6 Hgr YHZ on occasion and I’d prefer to NOT end up in the Sqn Boss’s office for bad reasons. 😁

    I’d love to comment on that publicly…but, I shouldn’t.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

What replacement project? Block 4 isn’t complete yet. 140s will be turning gas into noise for another 2 decades+. With disrespect to my own fleet, the US doesn’t really take our MPA capability very serious. If I was going to burn more YFR with MPAs I would not do it in the arctic.

    Replacing the Subs

So now we need “adequate” air coverage. Would you settle for “sporadic”, and “sparingly armed”? 😁 If so…I can help with that…lol

    Replacing the Subs

My post was more to the "a semi than can dive briefly" concept....and to those who don't think about 'the layer' and...sea mounts, eddies, wrecks, dirty water, etc in the browner water spaces. Sorry if I worded it as a poke at your post, it was meant as an "in addition to"...because...

    Replacing the Subs

Maybe a fly shyte out of pepper point; but to me a 'semi-submersible' doesn't actually ever completely dive. Thinking OP CARIBBE and the 'drug subs', called SPSSs (self propelled semi-submersibles), they aren't true sub-marine. They are a reasonably challenging ctc, though. It's a small...

Alright...so someone ( think it was an ASO, TBH) mislead me! (NASOs....demonstrating what NASO means) Wait...how do I know that YOU know what you're talking about? 😁
